Research Interests

My research focuses on bridging classical symbolic AI with LLMs, exploring the intersection of programming language design, knowledge representation, and AI systems. Current work includes temporal reasoning frameworks, frame-based knowledge systems, and the philosophical and ethical implications of AI consciousness.

I am particularly interested in how computational systems can integrate logical reasoning with semantic understanding, and the broader questions this raises about cognition, ethics, and the future of human-AI collaboration.

I also work at the intersection of AI, culture, and pedagogy, serving as Area Chair for AI & Culture at the Southwest Popular/American Culture Association ( https://swpaca.org ). This work examines how intelligent systems reshape teaching, learning, and creative practice in educational and cultural contexts.
